Mitzie Ann Lao has been part of our studio and Applied Music Program faculty for voice and piano since 2017. She is a performing artist for Madison Events and is a freelance singer for the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. She won third place in the National Music Competitions for Young Artists in 2005; and as a seasoned artist, she has taken part in notable productions such as Joseph the Dreamer (Trumpets), All Out of Love: The Musical (Ultimate Shows), A Christmas Carol (9 Works Theatrical), and Dani Girl (The Sandbox Collective). Drawing from her accomplished career, she has trained many students to grow in skill and stage presence under her care.
Teacher Mitzie graduated with a Bachelor of Music - Major in Musical Theater and Minor in Piano from the University of Santo Tomas. She has taken masterclasses and workshops in acting with Mark Aranal, Pinky Amador, Nikki Snelson, Robbie Guevara, and Carlos Canlas; in dance with Bill Atwood, Myra Beltran, PJ Rebullida, and Yek Barlongay; and in voice with Eugene de los Santos, Mary Patrice Pacis, and Jerry Olaguer.
